The notification system will inform Ukrainians about

real threats

on the ground, radiation emissions and urgent evacuation.

This was announced by the Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service Roman Prymus during a briefing.

Informing the population will be handled by military-civilian administrations, which will include specialists of this system.

Also, if necessary, notifications will be sent centrally throughout Ukraine.

The alert system will warn of dangerous weather conditions, possible release of radiation or other chemical elements, as well as urgent evacuation.

Messages may contain instructions for further actions.

According to Prymus, users of phones that were released after 2015 received the notification.

In this way, DSNS covered 67% of subscribers.

Now experts are working on making sure that phones with older versions receive notifications.

We will remind, on Friday, September 23, the State Emergency Service finished testing the public information system.

Now this system will go into experimental operation and will be used to send real signals about threats to Ukrainians.
