Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, believes that most of the repressive measures introduced by the Kremlin during the "partial" mobilization and "accession" of territories are directed against the citizens of the Russian Federation themselves, and Putin's goal is to transform Russia into an absolutely totalitarian state.

He expressed this opinion in a conversation with Russian blogger and human rights defender Mark Feigin.

"Sixty percent of these oppressions are for internal use.

And the "joining" of the territories is to sum up the results of the "operation" and sell the people that they did not die here for nothing and mobilized them for nothing," Arestovych noted.

According to him, for Ukraine, the only important consequence of tomorrow's actions in the Kremlin, when the annexation of the occupied regions will be officially announced, will be whether the Kremlin dares to continue the offensive with the use of mobilized citizens from these "joined" territories.

"It's one thing when they attack, it's another thing when they only defend themselves.

And tomorrow, when it becomes clear, we will have an understanding," he said.

We will remind, on September 30 in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to sign documents on the inclusion of the captured territories of Ukraine, where the occupiers held so-called "referendums", into the Russian Federation.
