Satyapal Malik exclusive conversation with NDTV

New Delhi:

Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik may join Rashtriya Lok Dal after retirement, reports like this have been coming out continuously for the past few days.

Along with this, there is talk of Satyapal Malik contesting the elections.

NDTV had a special conversation with Satyapal Malik about all these speculations.

In a conversation with NDTV, Governor Malik said about joining RLD that everyone is spreading wrong things.

I have to say from day one that I will not join any party after retirement.

I will not contest any election.

I have three meetings next week.

This meeting is in Aligarh, Bulandshahr and Shamli.

Regarding sharing the stage with SP and RLD, Malik said that it is a farmers' conference.

I am already invited there, Jayant Chaudhary is going to share the stage with me.

Why are they going to do this, you should ask them this.

I am not under anybody's flag.

Let me tell you that I don't mind anyone.

I have nothing to do with any party.

But when elections are held, I will definitely help someone.

My best relations are with the Samajwadi Party.

In a way, SP is my own party.

Malik said that about the promise made by the BJP to the farmers, he said that if BJP will solve the farmers' issues, then I will say for the BJP.

But BJP has cheated the farmers, not implementing MSP, not returning their cases.

In this situation, I cannot have any relation with BJP.

If I tell today's situation, right now I have a fight with BJP.

I gave my best days to BJP.

Thank you for making me the governor.

Being governor did not mean that I had sold my freedom.

I had made it clear that I would not spend a minute on the farmers' issue and would leave the governorship.

But no one has asked me to resign.

He said that after becoming a reactor, I will definitely do two things.

The first task would be to raise voice for the farmers and the second task would be to write a book on Kashmir.

I have not been able to speak many things while being here in the position I am in.

After becoming a reactor, I will definitely do two things.
