For many, fresh memories of this winter, when the Americans called on their citizens to leave Ukraine, directly pointing to the imminent invasion of Russia, and they were not wrong.

Should we now connect these statements with possible hostilities on the territory of Russia, explained the leading specialist of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Hennadiy Udovenka at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Stanislav Zhelikhovskyi in the evening edition of TSN.19:30 on September 28.

"One of these options (military operations on the territory of the Russian Federation. - Ed.) is quite possible. However, we understand that the war with Ukraine is asymmetrical in nature. It is impossible to predict that the conflict will spill over directly into the territory of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainians are not going to seize the territory of Russia , but they are trying to get theirs back," the expert noted.

Zhelikhovsky assumes that the Americans are simply considering the possibility of mass protests or riots on the territory of the aggressor country, arranged by the Russians themselves.

"These events, which can lead to turmoil in Russia itself, are the danger that Western countries see. That is why they are recalling their citizens. Of course, such a development may seem unlikely now," says the expert.

He emphasized that he does not believe in a preventive strike by the West against Russia.

It will be recalled that on September 28, it became known that the US Embassy urged its citizens to leave Russia and not to visit it after a "partial" mobilization was announced in that country.

Earlier, the press services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Bulgaria and Estonia called on people to abandon trips to Russia and, if possible, to leave the country.
