West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee plays 'Dhak' (traditional drum-like instrument) at the launch of Community Durga Puja in the capital Kolkata today.

CM Mamta appeared in a festive mood during the inauguration of Suruchi Sangh's pandal in New Alipore.

In the video that went viral on social media, Mamta can be seen cutting the ribbon and then walking with the dhak and playing it.

After reaching the main pandal, she keeps the dhaak on the floor and continues to play it.

Bengal government minister Firhad Hakim is also seen supporting him standing next to him.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had led a function organized to celebrate it in Kolkata on 1 September.

Mamta Banerjee had earlier on Monday also inaugurated several community Durga Puja pandals in Kolkata, 10 big pandals including Ajay Sanhati, Bospukur Sheetla Mandir and Behala Natoon Dal in Haridevpur.

Trinamool Congress sources had told that this year, Mamta will inaugurate 150 Durga Puja pandals by being present there and at least 400 pandals will be virtually inaugurated. 

Amidst the fervor of Durga Puja in Bengal, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the southern parts of the state including the capital Kolkata.
