Ukrainian air defense forces have already shot down 16 Iranian kamikaze drones provided by the Russian Federation for the war against Ukraine.

Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the FreeDom TV channel.

According to him, now the occupiers use cruise missiles less - the Russians keep them for the winter period.

Instead, they intensified the work of kamikaze drones provided to the Russian Federation by Iran.

However, the occupiers do not use them en masse yet.

"Perhaps not all Iranian drones reach their targets, but the target is visible. They fly at a speed of 120 km/h, they are barely visible on radar, but they are visible. They buzz very loudly, maybe they do not always hit the target accurately. But whatever there was a weapon - it's a weapon, and it can get into civilian objects," Yuriy Ignat stressed.

At the same time, according to the Ukrainian military, Putin purchased the drones not to destroy targets, but to detect Western weapons in positions.

"These are high-precision munitions, they are used to hit our air defense systems. As well as the Western weapons provided to us by our partners. The goal is to destroy important objects," the spokesman emphasized.

We will remind that Russia wants to send first-year students of the Naval Academy to war.
