The Caucasian House is an important model for establishing peace in the South Caucasus.

APA reports that Araz Aslanli, director of the Caucasus Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies, said this during a panel speech at the 1st Forum of Azerbaijan think tanks.

"For peace in the Caucasus, the think tanks of all three countries should work on peace proposals. It is also necessary to work on convincing the society of the proposals of the think tanks. Also, the think tanks in the West and the think tanks of the regional countries can create a platform for the development of models for peace in the Caucasus," said the Azerbaijani political expert.

Araz Aslanli said that the parties that mediate in the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia do not always have good intentions and said that not all think tanks from different countries that will join the process will be interested in achieving peace: "But in any case, an opportunity for interactive discussion will appear and it is important to exchange ideas and proposals. Even if it is not in an official format But discussions can contribute to the emergence of models."

Rusif Huseynov, the co-founder and director of the Topchubashov Center, speaking at the panel discussion, noted that it is difficult to achieve peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the current stage, but dialogue is possible.

He said that after the end of the war, the Topchubashov Center was the think tank that took the first initiative on dialogue between the parties.

"By preparing video interviews of Armenian political scientists, we wanted to convey the narratives of the Armenian society to the Azerbaijani society, to convey their post-war discourse. Later, this initiative was turned into a dialogue platform between the experts of both countries."

He said that Armenia was less interested in these dialogues.

"The person presented by Armenia as a dialogue partner announced in August that it is necessary to attack the military and economic infrastructure of Azerbaijan."

The Azerbaijani political expert noted that after the escalation on the border in September, the enthusiasm for dialogue has decreased even more.

Rusif Huseynov noted in his speech that it is necessary to pay attention to the thematic diversity during the dialogue between the parties.

"It is no longer effective for the same people to meet in different countries. It is important to hold meetings and thematic meetings of businessmen, engineers, experts dealing with infrastructure," said the director of the Topchubashov Center.
