Iran presented today a new reconnaissance drone within the framework of the Sacred Defense Week held in the country, TASS reported, referring to the Tasnim agency.

The Shahab UAV can fly at a height of over 3,000 meters.

It has a range of up to 200 kilometers and can stay in the air for up to 8 hours.

Sacred Defense Week began on September 22 and coincides with the anniversary of the 1980 outbreak of the Iraq War.

Traditionally, during these days, events are held in Iran to demonstrate the country's military potential.

In addition, representatives of the armed forces report on the implementation of defense projects and report on the latest achievements of the Iranian defense industry, TASS notes.

Iran showed off a kamikaze drone

On September 8, the commander of the country's air force, Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, said that Iran had achieved full independence in its procurement of attack drones.
