[Central News Agency] Giant-class hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, the United States today, with strong storms and rain, close to the strongest category 5, and set off a "devastating" storm during the act, causing a ship to sink and 23 people missing.

Agence France-Presse reported that Ian was a Monster Hurricane hurricane, and its current power is close to a Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported that Ian has made landfall in Cayo Costa, Florida as a Category 4 hurricane with sustained winds of up to 241 kilometers per hour.

In addition, the U.S. National Hurricane Center also noted that Ian "brought a catastrophic storm surge, wind and flooding" on the Florida peninsula.

Miami, Florida police said 23 people were unaccounted for and four survived when a boat carrying migrants sank when Ian attacked the Florida coast.
