A court in Bihar's Begusarai on Wednesday filed charges against filmmaker and director Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor for insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members in their web series 'XXX' (Season 2). Arrest warrant has been issued in.

The court of Justice Vikas Kumar issued this warrant on the basis of the complaint of former soldier and Begusarai resident Shambhu Kumar.

Former soldier Shambhu Kumar, in his complaint in 2020, had alleged that the series 'XXX' (Season-2) showed several objectionable scenes related to the wife of a soldier.

Shambhu Kumar's lawyer Hrishikesh Pathak said, "The series was aired on Alt Balaji, an OTT platform owned by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd. Shobha Kapoor is also associated with Balaji Telefilms."

Pathak said, "The court had issued summons to him (Kapoor) and asked him to appear in connection with the case. He (Kapoor) informed the court that some scenes from the series were dropped after objections, But he did not do so. After which a warrant has been issued against him."
