The small village of Ozero in the Volyn region, in the Kivertsiv community, will later become an example for the whole of Ukraine.

The implementation of the project was also facilitated by the Volyn Regional Government and the Office of the President.

Swedish philanthropists managed to build a town for more than

150 internally displaced persons.

In total, 300 people will live here

, including more than 50 Ukrainian families

who lost their homes due to the full-scale invasion of Russia.

The mini-town was organized on the territory of the health camp of the "Swedish Aid Center" charitable foundation.

From the first days of the war, the premises of the camp became a place of stay for displaced persons.

And then work began to maximally insulate and expand the area for construction.

A powerful team was needed for this.

On August 15, the first truck with building materials from Sweden arrived on the territory of the town, and later

four more trucks unloaded in the middle of the forest to build housing in an extremely short time.

People's Deputy of Ukraine Valery Sterniichuk, who has been taking care of displaced people since the first days of the war, says: "It is in the Kivertsi community in Volyn, thanks to our friendship with the Swedes and the director of the "Swedish Aid Center" foundation Serhiy Porokhnavets, that we are implementing a project - housing for displaced people. The materials arrived here from Sweden together with a team of specialists who carry out all the work. Today, the people of Volhynia are gaining useful experience. We will have something to be proud of and they will be grateful to us for it. But the most important thing is that we are doing it without benefit, because it is very important to create comfortable conditions for the Ukrainians who stayed with us Volyn. We will finish everything very soon and expand our horizons!".

"The main thing is to give people a sense of comfort and attention, regardless of where they came from, Volyn will become another home for them", - convinced member of the OVA coordination center Nazar Romaniuk, who is in charge of the construction of the town.

Currently, the builders are already completing the renovation of the bedroom with a

total area of 300 square meters and the dining room.

During the implementation of the project, 750 square meters of the roof were covered.

More than 100 tons of construction materials were used for the work.

Today, displaced people live here, who are provided with everything:

housing, food, clothing, and, if necessary, medicine.

The other part of the premises is already 70% ready.

After the construction is completed,

another 150 people will be settled here, who will have warm, tidy living conditions.

That is how the village of Lake Kivertsivska hromada in Volyn became their second native home.
