More than 10 people wounded in a school shooting in central Russia will be flown to Moscow for further treatment, Russian authorities said, a day after a gunman killed 17 people and wounded 24 at a high school in the city of Izhevsk, the Associated Press reported.

Health Minister Mihail Murashko stated that a medical evacuation is planned for 13 children and two adults.

He indicated that three of the injured were in critical condition.

The attack was carried out by a 34-year-old former student of the 88th high school in the city of Izhevsk, located about 960 kilometers east of Moscow in Udmurtia.

After the attack, the perpetrator committed suicide.
