And that's why Putin announced mobilization in Russia and threatens Ukraine to use nuclear weapons. 

State Department spokesman Ned Price said this at a briefing.

According to the State Department spokesman, Putin did everything possible to isolate Russia and international support for Ukraine.

And that is why now Russia will not be able to intimidate the USA. 

"His rattling of nuclear weapons, bogus referendums, his partial mobilization and sometimes even violent suppression of Russians exercising their basic rights stimulated everyone, but not in the way President Putin wanted," Price explained.

The spokesman of the State Department noted that now Putin is trying to rattle off nuclear weapons to intimidate the whole world, but no one should give in to his blackmail.

He added that the USA will never recognize fake referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
