"Since the beginning of the armed attack, the Mission recorded the rape of eight women and one girl, 15 cases of sexual violence as a method of torture or ill-treatment of men, 11 cases of forced public undressing of both men and women who were considered "offenders", and 8 cases of other forms of sexual violence, such as forced exposure, unwanted sexual touching, sexual harassment and threats of sexual violence," says the UN Mission's report.

According to the organization, 30 such cases were committed by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 2 by the Armed Forces or law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, 11 cases by civilians or members of territorial defense units of Ukraine.

"We are concerned that the narrowing of civil space and the highly restrictive environment in the areas occupied by the Russian Federation prevent people from reporting human rights violations that they have experienced or witnessed," said the head of the Mission

The UN report covers the period from February 24 to September 25, 2022.

It is not possible to confirm the mission data from other sources in the conditions of war.

There is no information from the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine about the data announced by the UN regarding the Ukrainian side.

Despite numerous testimonies, Russia does not recognize the involvement of its troops in crimes against civilians in Ukraine.
