The Constitutional Court is deciding today whether the Supreme Judicial Council can continue to work after the official end of its mandate.

The Supreme Magistrates were referred to another case - for the Inspectorate of the SJC, but their decision will be equally valid for personnel.

It has come to this point after the parliament did not open the procedure for electing its representatives in the Supreme Judicial Council at all.

Thus, after October 3, when the mandate of the current Council expires, there is no legal body to decide matters related to the judiciary.
