About 30 missiles - this is the average number of missiles launched by Russia on the territory of Ukraine from February 24 to August.

Already in autumn, the number of missile strikes has significantly decreased, Ukrainian military analysts note, TSN reports.

After half a year of full-scale war, the Russians began to save high-precision missiles, this was discussed in the Western mass media and Ukrainian military analysts.

In particular, the Russians fired almost all of their winged "Calibers", which they are so proud of, believes the captain of the 1st rank of the reserve of the naval forces Andriy Ryzhenko.

At the beginning of the war, the occupiers had hundreds of Calibers, now they have dozens.

"Now there may be several dozen of them, not many.

Currently, the Black Sea Fleet has 9 ships that can carry Kalibr missiles.

In total, 72 rockets are theoretically obtained.

And four submarines, which are in Sevastopol, are in Novorossiysk," Ryzhenko says.

One such missile costs the Russian budget 6.5 million dollars.

Calibers are designed in Russia with some upgraded Soviet parts.

Entered service in 2012.

Thanks to their characteristics, they can be launched even from the occupied Crimea or the Caspian Sea, which allows the Russians to fire calibers at populated areas almost anywhere in Ukraine, knowing one hundred percent that the return fire will not reach them.

"The idea of this missile was the same as the American Tomahawk missile, i.e. striking at a considerable distance, both at sea and on the coast - on land.

At a long distance.

It was supposed to be a subsonic missile with a turbojet engine, and its range there is significant - more than 1,000 kilometers," Ryzhenko adds.

The enemy repeatedly used "Calibers" for the most painful blows.

So, at the end of March, the occupiers broke through the Mykolaiv regional state administration building with it.

On July 14, the Rashists attacked Vinnytsia with four Calibers.

Two rockets shot down Ukrainian air defense forces, others also hit the center of the city.

In the command of the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the decrease in the activity of "Calibers" is now associated with two key factors.

The first: due to sanctions, Russia cannot actively produce new cruise missiles.

Instead of 40 "Calibers" that came off the assembly line every month, now there are only a few.

"Russia can make 3-4 missiles a month today.

Why did this happen now, because they have exhausted almost all the stocks that were in the chips for Calibers, accelerometers and other technologies that are necessary for the production of missiles that were supplied, which they bought either from the West or from other Asian companies" , - says Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research.

The second reason: despite the fact that "Kalibly" are maneuverable and can fly at low altitudes, the Ukrainian air defense has still learned to shoot them down.

"The Air Force is getting better and better every time, shooting down more and more of these missiles, and as I said, there are 100 percent results.

Our Western partners also help us, they help us not only in the perspective of obtaining modern complexes, but also help us with air defense means, that is, we know that Slovakia has already handed over one S-300 complex, now we are strengthening the air defense system in various directions," he notes. Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

So, on August 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed all 4 Kalibr cruise missiles over the city of Dnipro.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reported that our air defense system used only 4 missiles of the S-300 complex to shoot down.

The aggressor threw away 26 million dollars.

However, military analysts note, it is too early for Ukrainians to rejoice.

In the warehouses of the occupying forces, there may be significant stocks of other rockets - dating back to Gagarin's time.

For example, the U-point is not as accurate as Caliber, with a range of up to 120 kilometers.

Onyx anti-ship missiles, which due to the lack of high-precision missiles, also began to arrive in Ukraine, targeting land targets.

"We can conclude that they will protect the X-101, Kalibr and Iskander more and use them less, and as for such missiles that remained from Soviet times, starting with the X-55, X-29, X- 22 and many others, we cannot say their number.

And we cannot say that the probability and risks of missile attacks will decrease or disappear in the near future," Musienko warns.

Therefore, for now, Ukrainians have to believe in the Armed Forces, but also not to ignore air alarms.
