A woman from Montana killed a Siberian husky while

hunting

and skinned the dog, mistaking it for a wolf.

She posted the carcass of the killed animal on her Facebook page.

"I went on a solo fall black bear predator hunt this morning, but I got the chance to take another wolf predator. In 2022, it was a great feeling to text my husband and tell him I just hunted a wolf," Rose wrote.

Her post sparked an immediate backlash from animal lovers, who pointed out that the animal she killed was not a wolf.

"Amber Rose here hunted, shot and skinned a husky, not a wolf, an obvious husky. Also, the fact that she calls it a 'cub' worries me that she thinks it's okay to hunt young animals, what do you think you know, not good for the local environmental system #revokeherlicense.,” one angry

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office released a statement saying it was contacted by someone who reported picking up "several huskies and sheepdogs" in the Doris Creek area of the Flathead National Forest.

The department said it was notified that one of the dogs "may have been shot."

"Parties were able to retrieve 11 dogs, which were turned over to animal control and taken to an animal shelter. During this investigation, we were notified through Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks that one of the dogs may have been shot," the release said.

The sheriff's office, animal control and fish and game agencies told TMZ they have opened an investigation into the shooting.

Rose, meanwhile, responded to the conviction by admitting she was wrong but insisting she shot the animal in self-defense.

We will remind that in Dnipro, a man threw

a husky dog

out of the window of a high-rise building - the animal died.
