A source close to the royal family told the Sun newspaper that on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's death, Prince Harry had a serious conflict with his father over Meghan Markle: King Charles III asked his youngest son not to take his wife with him in Scotland.

"Probably because of the quarrel with his father, Prince Harry missed the plane and did not have time to say goodbye to his grandmother - he arrived at Balmoral an hour and a half after the announcement of her death. The same day, his father invited him to dinner at Birkhall, the estate of Charles III, with Queen Consort Camilla and Prince William in attendance. Instead, Harry dined with Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Prince Andrew before taking the first flight to London. Harry was so busy getting permission to bring Meghan to Balmoral, that he missed the flight. Afterwards he was so furious that he refused to have dinner with his father and brother. And he left Balmoral at the first opportunity to catch the first flight back to London," he says.

However, Prince Harry later joined his family at the mourning events.

He, Meghan Markle, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton, viewed the flowers and gifts brought in memory of the Queen.

Later, however, a new conflict broke out between Prince Harry and his father – this time over the titles of his children Archie and Lilibeth.

Grandchildren of the reigning monarch are automatically given the titles of prince and princess.

King Charles III agreed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children should carry these titles, but Archie and Lilibeth were not given the titles "Their Royal Highnesses".
