At the time, amendments in dearness allowance have been announced, so that some extra money comes to the government employees during the festivals.

This year also, the workers waiting for the announcement of DA Hike on the occasion of Navratri may get good news on Wednesday, although it is not confirmed at the moment.

Actually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Japan to attend the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, so the cabinet meeting has been organized after his return on Wednesday.

The agenda of this cabinet meeting is not currently public, but it is believed that the issue of DA Hike may be on its agenda for approval, as this tradition has been maintained for many years.

Since dearness allowance is revised every year ahead of Navratri and subsequent festivals, the possibility of this issue being on the agenda is quite high.

If this increase in DA is 4 per cent, then all those who are paid on the basis of 7th Pay Commission will get an increase of Rs 720 in DA on the basic salary of Rs 18,000, and this increase will be Rs 1,000 per month if the basic salary is 25,000. Will go
