The memory of those who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh War was commemorated in Moscow.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, representatives of the public and media of both countries, activists of the Azerbaijani Youth Union of Russia (AMOR), as well as Oleg Shein, deputy of the Duma of Astrakhan region, took part in the event organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia and the representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia.

Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu, who opened the event with his opening speech, pointed out that in accordance with the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, September 27 is marked as the Memorial Day and on that day we remember our martyrs who liberated our lands.

Later, the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.



The ambassador stated that the 44-day Patriotic War is of special importance for the history of the Azerbaijani people and statehood, and reminded that Armenia occupied more than 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan, the pearl of Azerbaijan, Karabakh and Shusha for nearly 30 years.



P. Bulbuloglu noted that our honorable President has repeatedly spoken from the highest tribunes and stated that the people of Azerbaijan want to resolve the conflict peacefully, otherwise they are ready to use their right to liberate their lands by force.

He pointed out that there is a special clause in the UN Charter that reflects the right of each country to defend itself



Recalling that in his interviews with the media as the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, P. Bulbuloglu stated that Azerbaijan is ready to resolve the conflict through negotiations, but if this issue is not resolved, it will use force, fulfilling the will of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the father of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. and emphasized that thanks to his strong will, our lands were freed from occupation: "As a result of the counter-offensive operation carried out in response to the next provocation of Armenia, the Azerbaijani army won a great victory and Karabakh is free today."



The ambassador noted that the desperate enemy, seeing that he was defeated, bombed the peaceful cities of Azerbaijan with prohibited weapons at night and as a result nearly 100 Azerbaijani citizens were killed and more than 400 people were injured: "The people of Azerbaijan will never forget this."


Stating that the foreign journalists in Aghdam compared the city to the "Caucasian Hiroshima", the ambassador pointed out that our cities and villages were destroyed and that such an act of vandalism was committed in the 21st century.

Emphasizing that the only consolation is the rapid restoration work carried out in our liberated territories, P. Bulbuloglu said that the Fuzuli airport was built within 8 months, the construction of the Zangilanda airport will be completed by the end of the year, the "Victory road" was built to Shusha within 9 months, and now a new magnificent bridge and tunnels have been built. pointed out that the road was built and thus the road to Shusha will be even shorter.



The ambassador also emphasized that international events are held almost every day in Shusha, which is considered the musical cradle of Azerbaijan.



P. Bulbuloglu expressed his gratitude for returning the busts of Natavan, Uzeyir Hajibeyov and Bulbul, whom the national leader Heydar Aliyev was able to free from Armenian captivity, to "his homeland" during the first visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Shusha together with the first lady Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva. .

The ambassador said that when these monuments were brought to Baku many years ago, Heydar Aliyev said that the time will come and we will take them back to Shusha: "Our president's father made the dream of Heydar Aliyev and the entire Azerbaijani people come true."



The ambassador said that the House-Museum of the Nightingale in Shusha has been restored and that it is a pleasant event for the guests who visited it, as well as that several musical events have already been held there.


At the beginning of September, the ambassador noted with regret that the people of Azerbaijan were martyred again and that we lost our young children, and emphasized the importance of the people and the state to defend themselves in the face of injustice.

P. Bulbuloglu also noted that our duty is to never forget our martyrs, their life path, and their families.

Stating that schools and streets are named after our martyrs, the Ambassador expressed confidence that the people of Azerbaijan will never forget their heroes and their memory will be immortalized.

Then the responsible secretary of AMOR, Jeyhun Huseynov, spoke and said that the 44-day war left a deep mark on our hearts, destinies and memories, that all Azerbaijanis, regardless of where they live and what profession they have, united firmly around our Commander-in-Chief to achieve a common goal. said.

He noted that nearly 3,000 heroic children of the Motherland were martyred for the sake of restoring historical justice, liberating our lands under occupation, and allowing nearly 1 million Azerbaijanis to live and create again in our liberated lands.



Then, the poem dedicated to the soldiers by Leyla Aliyeva, head of AMOR, was performed by Abbasgulu Hasanov.

Fatima Kahramanli also brought to the attention of the event participants the poem she wrote and dedicated to Shusha



. Music was played by young Azerbaijani cellist Ibrahim Nagiyev and Russian violinist Sofia Fedotova.

In the building of the Embassy's guest house, a photo exhibition depicting the ruins of the cities and towns of our country that were hit by enemy rockets during the war was organized, and a video dedicated to the martyrs of the Patriotic War was shown.



At the end, a donation table was served in memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
