The children are studying acting and have done plays for the Diaspora and Americans.

A journalist from a well-known American publication happened to attend its premiere in the Lviv bomb shelter.

His article impressed a theater manager in Brooklyn.

He invited the children on a tour.

TSN

correspondent Marichka Kuzyk

told about the young actors and their important mission .

The play "Mama po skapu" is

about parents who left to earn money, while the children stayed at home with their grandparents.

Schoolchildren were preparing it even before the war.

Dozens of rehearsals were held, and the premiere took place in a bomb shelter.

"This play was prepared for almost a year, to be honest, before the beginning of the invasion. And we were supposed to play it just on February 27, we had plans. In fact, what happened happened," says Oleg Oneschak, head of the theater at the school, Vysk ZSU.

He is the director of the children's theater at the school, and currently serves in the Armed Forces.

He says that then a journalist from an influential American publication accidentally got to the premiere in the shelter and wrote about what he saw.

"This article was read by Teri Grace, the director and director of a theater in Brooklyn. He literally wrote to me the next day in a messenger that I was under the impression that the theater was not just a theater, but that during the war children could do something else to do, they chose a play when bombs fly. I would like to somehow help and invite children to America with this play," Oleg Oneschak recalls.

Schoolchildren toured America for a month

.

Performances were played in five cities.

Every time they collected full halls and money for the Armed Forces.

"Everyone cried with us, everyone supported us, immediately after the performance they told us that we could do it. Every day everyone wore them, they gave us t-shirts with the Ukrainian flag and everyone wore them. To this day, friends call me from America, even the director, they are very supportive." , - shares actress Nastya Mysyuga.

The performance was in Ukrainian, with English subtitles on the big screen

.

But since all the children speak English, after the performances they talked with the Americans and talked about the war in Ukraine.

The youngest actor is only 7 years old.

"I was afraid at first, and then I wasn't afraid. Because there were many people and because this is America," says actor Oleksiy Onishchak.

"For them, this is something impossible. They are teenagers, they have a completely different childhood, they go to camps, and we came and collected money for a combat plane for the army. And for them it was a shock. They don't do this at their age, and we already we have to grow up faster because of the war," says Nastya Mysyuga.

Young actors brought home a million hryvnias

.

The money was transferred to the fund, which collects for a combat aircraft for the Armed Forces.

"We are at the stage where we have collected about 430,000 dollars in equivalents, in cryptocurrency, in hryvnias, in dollars. We have come to the point that we are discussing a specific combat aircraft with the Air Force," said Taras Maselko, a representative of the Foundation.

Now the children are preparing for new tours.

After the overseas trip, they plan to go to Europe.
