Arrivals from Russia to Georgia have almost doubled since Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization last week in connection with the conflict in Ukraine, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the Georgian Interior Ministry.

"The number of these people has increased to about 10,000 per day. For example, on Sunday there were 11,200, and yesterday - less than 10,000," the message said.

For comparison, just before the announcement of the mobilization, they were 5-6 thousand, the Georgian Ministry points out, informs BTA.
