DEPUTY President Rigathi Gachagua has said that the new government will not cancel the Competency Curriculum (CBC), but will review it to improve it.

Speaking at the National Music Festival held at Kisumu Girls' High School, Deputy President Gachagua said the government will form a task force to investigate the problems and flaws in the existing curriculum and address them.

The task force will consult with relevant stakeholders in the education sector, including parents.

"Soon, the government will launch a task force to look at educational reform, including competency curricula, not with the intention of deleting it, but to review it to preserve the good things in it and improve the flawed things," said Gachagua.

The deputy president also said that the Kenya First administration will be involved in the creative economy to ensure that it creates job opportunities and income for talented young people.

"The government has policies and programs to translate the talents of our youth into income," he said.

Gachagua told Kenyans that the administration of President William Ruto will serve all Kenyans equally and regardless of political differences.

"We want to prove to the people of Nyanza that Ruto's administration will serve all Kenyans equally, those who elected us and those who did not," he said.

"All parts of Kenya will develop equally because we are the leaders of the whole country," he added.
