From August 26 to September 8, 133 new cases were added, and there is already a decreasing trend.

Fan Houlu also pointed out that the office in Ho Chi Minh City has handled cases of Chinese people who were deceived in seeking help in Cambodia. The list of 639 people was assisted, of which 246 people have returned to Taiwan and 393 people have not yet returned to Taiwan.

The relevant data is compiled by the office in Ho Chi Minh City. As for the complete statistics of Chinese people trapped abroad, the information released by the Police Administration of the Ministry of the Interior shall prevail.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate and cooperate with the Police Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, the agency in charge of this case, to strengthen ties with the police agencies of relevant countries, and to further enhance our country's rescue capabilities, so as to assist the victims to return home as soon as possible.

The Criminal Bureau stated on September 24 that as of September 23, the inter-ministerial team had assisted in the rescue of a total of 279 Chinese nationals returning to Taiwan from Cambodia and Thailand and Myanmar.
