Employees of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and about 40 diaspora representatives from 16 countries currently in Azerbaijan visited the II Martyrs' Alley on September 27 - Memorial Day.

APA informs that during the visit, the dear memory of the children of the Motherland, who were martyred for ensuring the independence and territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated with respect.

It should be noted that today the Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in different countries of the world are holding numerous events related to the Memorial Day and honoring the memory of our martyrs.

At the same time, our compatriots provide detailed information about the essence of Memorial Day to the public of the countries where they live.

The Azerbaijani community living in Belfast, Northern Ireland, held an information gathering on September 27 - Memorial Day.

The action taking place in front of the parliament building (Stormont) was organized by Parvane Aghazadeh, the Northern Ireland coordinator of the Coordinating Council of British Azerbaijanis.

During the campaign, booklets were distributed to the local residents, containing information about the history of the 44-day Patriotic War, the bombing of settlements in Ganja, Barda and other cities located far from the front line by rockets, as well as the provocations caused by Armenia.

In connection with September 27 - Memorial Day, the Azerbaijan House, which started operating in Helsinki, commemorated the martyrs of the Patriotic War and organized a commemorative corner in memory of our martyrs.

The monitor in the corner shows the number of our martyrs who died in the 44-day war.

Children of the Motherland who lost their lives and blood for the sake of liberating our land from the Armenian occupation, restoring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and re-raising our tricolor flag in Karabakh freed from occupation were commemorated.

On the monitor, photos from the "Memorial March" organized in Baku with the participation of the President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice-President of our country Mehriban Aliyeva in connection with the first anniversary of the beginning of the Patriotic War, and the image of the "Khari-bulbul" flower, a symbol of the freedom of Karabakh, were displayed.

Flowers are arranged and candles are lit in the memorial corner.

The Azerbaijani community living in Gothenburg, Sweden held a ceremony on September 27 - Memorial Day.

At the ceremony organized by the "Azerbaijan Karabakh Freedom Center" and the Gothenburg Azerbaijan House, the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity and inviolability of our country's borders was commemorated with a minute's silence.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the center, Ulviyya Najafova, and others said that the 44-day shocking response of our Armed Forces to the military aggression launched by Armenia against our country two years ago is engraved in golden letters in the history of the Azerbaijan state: "Our people have never shown the courage of our children who fought under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. will not forget heroism!

The re-waving of the Azerbaijani flag in our lands freed from occupation is an incomparable happiness given to our people."

Then poems and songs dedicated to our martyrs were played.

Photographs dedicated to the martyrs of the Patriotic War were displayed in the corner organized as part of the event, flowers were arranged and candles were lit.

A ceremony was held on September 27 - Memorial Day at the Budapest Azerbaijan House operating in Hungary.

At the event, the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Head of Azerbaijan House Ibrahim Safarli reminded that two years ago - on September 27, the 44-day Patriotic War started as a result of Armenia's treacherous attack on Azerbaijan.

Under the leadership of the President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, our Armed Forces dealt a crushing blow to the enemy within 44 days and put an end to the 30-year-long Armenian occupation of the ancestral lands of Azerbaijan.

It was emphasized that the heroism of our martyrs and veterans, who brought a brilliant victory to our country and caused the tricolor flag of Azerbaijan to be raised again in Karabakh, will never be forgotten.

Then poems and songs dedicated to our martyrs were performed by our compatriots living and studying in Hungary: Kamil Shukurov (piano), Ramil Shukurov, Kamal Aslan and Nazim Musabaylin.

A commemorative corner was organized as part of the event.

An event was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on September 27 - Memorial Day.

Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities participated in the event organized by the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis at the office of the "Garabagh" sports club.

At the event, which started with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence and prayers were read for their souls.

Then a documentary film about the Patriotic War was shown.

Speaking at the event, Elsever Mammadov, head of the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis, and others said that they were very proud of the shocking response of our Armed Forces for 44 days to the military aggression launched by Armenia against our country two years ago, and that they were very proud of this brilliant victory.

Under the leadership of the President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the raising of the Azerbaijani flag by our brave soldiers on our lands freed from occupation was evaluated as the restoration of historical justice.

It was emphasized once again that our martyrs will never be forgotten.
