A curious story with a happy ending in Varna.

A swan in distress caused a traffic jam on the Asparukh bridge yesterday.

The swan is currently in the zoo in Varna.

"We assume that the swan flew over, tried to migrate.

Either he was in a group with other birds or he broke away.

He got quite tired and landed on the Asparukh bridge.

He then went into a state of stress and could not move.

Swans are territorial, defend themselves and refuse to budge."

This was explained in "This Morning" by Dr. Emil Vasilev, a veterinarian from the zoo.

Lebed created chaos: He briefly stopped traffic on the Asparukh bridge

"The condition of the swan is good.

He has arrived stressed and exhausted.

There is nothing worrying about his health - no injuries or fractures.

After rehabilitation and adaptation, the swan is expected to start feeding, and then it will be released into a flock of swans, as the birds are social," he added.

"If people find an animal in distress, they should contact the Regional Environment and Water Inspectorate," explained Ivanka Stoyanova, director of the zoo in Varna.

She added that endangered animals can be accommodated.
