230,500 ballots arrived in Haskovo for the upcoming parliamentary vote on Sunday in the district.

The truck with a police escort stopped in front of the district administration building, where eight pallets of ballots and one pallet of election papers were unloaded.

The distribution of voting coupons in the three large municipalities of Haskovo, Dimitrovgrad and Harmanli begins this afternoon.

The rest will be taken according to schedule to the other municipal centers tomorrow, announced Deputy Regional Governor Martin Uzunov, who personally met the transport and accepted the load.

The voting machines, 360 in total, are expected on Friday evening, and distribution will be in the morning the next day, Uzunov added.

In 15 election sections on the territory of 29 MIR-Haskovo there will be two machines each.   

From September 13 to 17, documents will be accepted for participation in the partial local elections on October 23
