Musician

Roger Waters

planned to visit Europe with concerts, but they are not happy to see the singer in Poland.

All because of his open

letter to Olena Zelenska

and statements against Ukraine.

A member of the Krakow city council, Lukasz Vantuch, responded to Waters' statements, calling on the city's residents to boycott the singer's concerts, the BBC reports.

City council members have prepared a resolution to declare Waters persona non grata, it should be put to a vote at a meeting on September 28.

"Given Russia's criminal attack on Ukraine, as well as the growing number of war crimes committed by Russian soldiers that are becoming known, the members of the council are outraged by the statements and statements made by Mr. Roger Waters in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine," the statement reads. resolutions

The promoter of the concert, Live Nation Poland, has already been informed about the cancellation of the musician's performances.

Waters already had time to react to the resolution of the Polish authorities.

In a post on his Facebook page, the performer stated that he would never have canceled the concert in Krakow on his own and considers Mr. Lukasz's actions "draconian censorship."

"Despite the fact that this Lukasz Vantuch seems to know nothing about my history, when I worked all my life, at the cost of some personal efforts, for the benefit of human rights, in his article in the local newspaper he urged the good citizens of Krakow not to buy tickets for my show. Not very democratic, sir? If Mr. Lukasz Vantuch succeeds in his goal and my upcoming concerts in Krakow are cancelled, it will be a sad loss for me, because I was looking forward to sharing my message of love with the people of Poland, which I have done on many tours during a career that has spanned over fifty years," Waters wrote.

HEY!

ŁUKASZ WANTUCH, "LEAVE THEM KIDS ALONE!"

Correction Roger Waters didn't cancel Krakow Gigs.
