Serbia, "on the basis of international law", cannot accept the results of the so-called referendums organized by Russia in the "DNR", "LNR", as well as in the Kherson Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine.

This was stated on Sunday, after returning from the UN General Assembly, by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia

, Nikola Selaković.

"The Republic of Serbia, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, as well as in accordance with the generally accepted principles and norms of international law, cannot accept the results of the referendum in the Ukrainian regions," Russian agency TASS quoted the minister as saying.

- On the one hand, we are fundamentally committed to the principles and rules of international law and the UN Charter, on the other hand, this would be completely contrary to our state and national interests, completely contrary to our national policy of preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty and adherence to the principle of invariability of borders."

Earlier, in an interview with the France 24 TV channel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus,

, said that Belarus will monitor the situation and make a decision to recognize the results "in accordance with national interests."
