President Ibrahim Raisi has promised a "resolute response" to the protests, which have so far engulfed most of Iran's 31 provinces.

The number of people killed during the protests has now increased to 41 people.

Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi insists that the woman detained by the Islamic Republic's morality police was not killed.

"Protocols of control bodies were obtained, witnesses were interviewed, video recordings were reviewed, forensic experts' conclusions were obtained, and it was established that the beating did not take place," he said.

The state media of Iran writes that, according to the president, "it is necessary to distinguish between protests and violations of public order and security. He called the events in the country mass riots.

The protests have so far covered most of Iran's 31 provinces.

Security forces have already detained hundreds of people during the protests.

The police chief of the northwestern province of Guilan announced that some 739 people, including 60 women, had been detained in his region alone.

It will be recalled that the country is protesting due to the death of Mahsa Amina, women are burning their hijabs and speaking out against the Islamic Republic.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities are restricting access to the Internet in the country.
