On Sunday, September 25 in Uman, around 14:00, near the central market in the pilgrimage area, a

beat a woman.  

Zoya Vovk, the spokeswoman of the Main Department of the National Police of the region, informed Suspilno about this in a comment.

"One of the pilgrims beat a local woman. The woman was hospitalized. Also, the applicant, who appealed to the police, asked for the arrival of several police units because a group of Hasids had gathered after the beating. The police are now on the scene. The full circumstances of the incident are being established." - she said.

According to the 51-year-old victim, during a fight between Uman residents and Hasidim, one of the Hasidim hit her on the head with a metal object and she fainted.

As the spokeswoman said, as a result of the incident, for the sake of safety, women were prohibited from entering the pilgrims' area.

According to doctors, the woman was previously diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, a concussion and a condition after losing consciousness.

It will be recalled that
