Germany proposed to ban citizens of the European Union from holding managerial positions in Russian state companies.

According to APA, "Süddeutsche Zeitung" newspaper reported on this with reference to the document sent by Berlin to its partners in the EU.

The document states that citizens of EU countries should no longer be allowed to hold positions in the supervisory boards and management boards of Russian state companies.

This ban should be part of the next package of sanctions against Russia.

At the same time, Germany is in favor of limiting oil prices in the world.

At the same time, Berlin wants the EU to ban cooperation with Russian nuclear companies.

The German government believes that taking positions in Russian state-owned companies creates the problem of "strategic corruption".

Because these people are paid well and Moscow gets a means to exert political influence on the EU countries.
