The

Russian

authorities are well aware that they are sending their citizens to their deaths.

Therefore, it is better not to accept the summons than to die on someone else's land as a war criminal.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in an evening video message on September 24.

Volodymyr Zelensky switched to Russian and addressed the citizens of the Russian Federation.

Here is his address in the original language:

"Once again I want to say for Russians in Russian.

It was not by chance that the criminal mobilization announced by Russia was immediately called "mogilization" by the citizens of Russia themselves.

Cremation

The Russian government perfectly understands that it sends its citizens to death - there are no other options.

Russian commanders don't care about Russian lives - they just need to fill the empty places after the killed, wounded, escaped or captured Russian soldiers.

Your government doesn't care who these places will be filled with.

At least by young IT professionals who did not serve at all, at least by pensioners who served only in the Soviet army.

Therefore, now is the key moment for all of you, the time when it is decided whether your life will end.

It is better not to take a subpoena than to die on someone else's land as a war criminal.

It is better to run away from this criminal mobilization than to be crippled and then be held accountable for participating in an aggressive war.

It is better to surrender to Ukrainian captivity than to die under the blows of our weapons, under absolutely fair blows of ours, because Ukraine is defending itself in this war.

We protect the brightest - we protect our lives, our children, our freedom.

What is Russia fighting for?

Every citizen of Russia knows - and even though many do not admit it, but they know for sure - that it is Russia that carries evil.

Ukraine guarantees three things to every Russian soldier who surrenders.

First: you will be treated in a civilized manner, in accordance with all conventions.

Second: no one will know the circumstances of how you surrendered, no one in Russia will know that your surrender was voluntary.

And the third: if you are afraid to return to Russia and you yourself do not want an exchange, we will find a way to ensure that too.

Ukraine will do everything for its victory.

And every citizen of Russia must understand: no tricks of the occupier will help.

I promise you."

It will be recalled that British intelligence said that Russian dictator

Vladimir Putin is taking a

significant political risk

in the hope of gathering 300,000 troops for the war in Ukraine.

Mobilization in Russia will face logistical and administrative difficulties, and the assembled troops will not be ready for combat for at least several months.
