There are 40 million people living in Ukraine, so the army can be increased by 5.5 million servicemen.

OP adviser Oleksiy Arestovich said this on September 24 during a conversation with Russian human rights defender Mark Feigin.

The advisor of the President's Office noted that there is mobilization potential in Ukraine.

If necessary, 5.5 million people can be drafted into the Armed Forces.

"If we lack people for defense, we will also have a mobilization. Once again. We have a reserve mobilization of 5.5 million people," Arestovich said.

Also, in Arestovych's opinion, the West can help Ukraine arm and equip new soldiers.

It will be recalled that Zelensky explained what to do with those mobilized by Russia from the occupied Crimea.
