Within the framework of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde.



According to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to APA, during the meeting, broad views were exchanged between our country and Sweden on bilateral and multilateral platforms, as well as regional issues.



Jeyhun Bayramov said that there are ample opportunities for the further development of relations between the two countries, and Sweden's activities during the OSCE chairmanship were positively assessed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information to the other party about the current situation in the region, the latest provocations of Armenia and the threat of landmines.



The Swedish minister expressed his concerns about the current tension and said that it is important to continue the normalization process.

He pointed out that Sweden is ready to support mediation efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
