Within the framework of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister said that bilateral political and economic cooperation plays an important role, and noted the need to explore opportunities to develop relations in economic activity, investment, tourism and other areas.

During the meeting, the minister informed about the history of Armenia's aggression against our country, Armenia's provocations in the post-conflict period, large-scale mine threats in the region.

Noting that there are friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia expressed interest in expanding relations in the field of economy and energy.

The minister pointed out that Slovenia cooperates with Azerbaijan in the field of demining and that it is important to expand this cooperation.

He expressed his concern about the tension in our region and noted that it is necessary to solve the problems at the political-diplomatic level.

During the meeting, the importance of continuing the bilateral political dialogue between our countries was emphasized, opinions were exchanged on a number of regional issues.
