"Colonel General Mykhailo Mizynets has been appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, who is responsible for the logistical and technical support of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the message reads.

Meanwhile, ex-deputy Shoigu was transferred to "another job", but the rosZMI did not say which one.

Currently, it is known that Colonel-General Mykhailo Mizintsev is 60 years old, he is a native of the Vologda region.

Previously, he headed the operation in Syria, and is also behind the destruction of Mariupol.

In particular, he gave orders to bomb a maternity hospital and a drama theater in the city, where local residents were hiding with their children.

In Russian mass propaganda, Mizintsev is called "Putin's favorite".

Withdrawal from Kherson would allow the Russian military to retreat across the Dnipro in an organized manner, save the equipment and save the lives of the soldiers.

However, such actions led to tensions between Putin himself and the top military leadership of the Russian Federation.
