Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov

Dimitar Stoyanov was born on October 28, 1968 in Svilengrad.

In 1986, he left on September 26 for an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Sarajevo, he will meet with the Minister of Defense Sifet Podzic.

The two will discuss the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and initiatives in the field of regional cooperation.

The Bulgarian delegation, led by the Minister of Defense, will hold a meeting with the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bisera Turkovic, and will be received by the Chairman of the Presidency, Sefik Jaferovic.

Within the framework of the one-day visit to the country, Minister Stoyanov will visit the "Butmir" base, where he will meet with the servicemen from the Bulgarian military contingent, which is participating in the EU operation "Altea".

At the "Butmir" base, Minister Stoyanov will talk with the commander of the EU operation "Altea", Major General Anton Veseli, and with the head of the NATO Headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier General Pamela McGaha.

Bulgaria's participation in Operation Altea will be discussed at the meetings.

Teodora Genchovska graduated in Modern History from Sofia University "St. Kliment", the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E.

Valery Yotov, the commander of the Joint Forces Command Major General Valery Tsolov and experts from the Ministry of Defense.
