"We have a very broken thing called a country, and we have to have a big difference with others to cope. If the difference is a few percent, it will be risky to get into the government," said GERB leader Boyko Borisov

Boyko Metodiev Borisov is the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria. He was born on June 13, 1959 in Targovishte.

"Were the institutions weak? Well, the current institutions were appointed by the PP, DB, BSP, let's not forget the ITN. In the last two years, they talked a lot of nonsense. When they saw what kind of thieves they were talking about, then they started to leave the coalition," he said he.

"The highway would have passed you by now and it would have been towards Veliko Tarnovo. That's 2 years of stagnation, except for the government debt, which is growing," Borissov specified.

He admitted that it will be difficult for them to fix the situation, but he recalled the previous crises that GERB's management had dealt with.

"When we came in 2009, it was the global financial crisis, but GERB was strong and we managed to get the country out. Then in 2013, Plamen Oresharski led to the bankruptcy of KTB, non-payment of energy to American plants and we were condemned by the Russians for the two reactors, but GERB was strong and in one year we paid off the depositors from KTB, the Russians, the Americans and came out clean, reducing the debt and being champions in Europe for the lowest debt, and we also managed with a budget surplus," Borissov pointed out.

He also recalled that during his administration, the migrant flow was controlled together with Charles Michel, Ursula von der Leyen and Recep Erdogan, while now there is a partial disaster situation in Svilengrad because of the migrants.

"After October 2, Erdogan and I will solve this issue very quickly. Fuel prices will go down, gas prices too - I have a solution, because I've been doing it for 12 years, I'm not talking like that," promised Borisov.

He also told how Asen Vassilev claimed in front of the American embassy that GERB was against the accession of North Macedonia to the EU.

"At the same time, I from Bankya am talking to Ursula von der Leyen and I guarantee that this is not true. The next day we forced ourselves and submitted a proposal to the parliament to support the French proposal," said the GERB leader.

Boyko Borisov in Shumen: I am not afraid of Kiril and Asen

Borissov accused "We continue the change" of not yet stating its position against Vladimir Putin in response to the mobilization and nuclear blackmail.

"I am really afraid that every day the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye is constantly attacked and now that I see how nervous the situation is, Putin's aggression is visible and the whole democratic world we are firmly determined that this must end. The Russian people are our friend, but what Putin is doing is beyond any normal comment - nuclear blackmail and a fight over Zaporozhye, and it is extremely close to us. I can't help but be against a person who directly threatens us," said Borisov.
