And in February 2022, she was already in the role of a mother who could not help but save her little daughter.

 "It seemed to me that if I left home, it would be like surrendering to the enemy.

But we were hiding in the basement with 17 people, food and medicine were getting less and less, so one day I realized: if I want to save the child, I have to go," says Nina.  

The decision to evacuate was made when the Russian troops were already nearby - near Brovary, and we had to save little Yarinka, who fell ill.

"I was lucky that I was breastfeeding and could always feed and soothe my baby.

During her illness, the only thing Yarinka agreed to eat was breast milk.

Breastfeeding also became a salvation during the tiring journey by train to Lviv," says Nina.
