Rice prices are showing an upward trend in the domestic market and keeping in view the forecast of lower production during Kharif season and 11 per cent growth in non-basmati rice exports, the upward trend is likely to continue.

The Ministry of Food gave this information by releasing a fact sheet on Thursday.

In this, the ministry explained the detailed reasons behind the recent amendments made in India's rice export policy.
