An open confrontation with the US and NATO is not in Russia's interests.

Moscow hopes that the administration of US President Joe Biden understands the risks of escalation around Ukraine.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, this was said by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.

"An open conflict with the United States and NATO, which will result in a direct military conflict, is not in our interests. We hope that the Biden administration also understands the danger of uncontrolled escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, taking into account the statement of local officials about not sending American troops to Ukraine," said Ryabkov of the Caribbean crisis. He said at the conference dedicated to the 60th anniversary.
