Kaohsiung MRT Xiaogang Linyuan Line starts from the tunnel reserved for Kaohsiung MRT Red Line R3 Station, continues to mine the underground tunnel and extends southward, passing through Haian 2nd Road, Coastal 3rd Road, Zhongmen Road, Section 4 of Coastal Road ~ Coastal Road 2 Section, climbed after Linyuan No. 11 Park, unearthed in front of Zhongyun Drainage and climbed to an elevated road, ending in front of the high-value industrial park, passing Dianzhen, Shanming, Fenggong, Fengming, Zhongmen, Dingcuo, Wen Xian, Donglin, Wufu, Fengyun, Zhongyun, Xizhou and other 12 li can serve a total of 220,000 people in Linyuan and Xiaogang.

On August 22 this year, the National Development Council of the Executive Yuan held a review of the comprehensive planning report on the "MRT Xiaogang Linyuan Line Construction and Surrounding Land Development Plan". The final review was approved and immediately submitted to the Executive Yuan for approval.

According to the plan, there are 6 underground stations and 1 elevated station on the Xiaogang Linyuan Line, with a total length of 11.59 kilometers. The total funding is tentatively approved at 53.312 billion yuan. It is expected to start construction at the end of the year and open to traffic in 119 years.

DPP legislator Lai Ruilong, who has been concerned about the case for a long time, reported good news this afternoon, saying that Executive President Su Zhenchang has approved the Kaohsiung MRT Xiaogang Linyuan Line today and will be ready to start construction by the end of this year.

Lai Ruilong said that the feasibility study and evaluation of the MRT Xiaogang Linyuan Line began six years ago. The elevated station was submitted to the Ministry of Communications for review, and an environmental impact assessment was conducted simultaneously. The environmental impact assessment was passed in July this year, and the comprehensive planning report was reviewed and approved by the National Development Council in August. Today, it will be approved by the Executive Yuan.

In this regard, the city government said in a low-key manner that it has indeed received the message that the Executive Yuan has approved the MRT Xiaogang Linyuan Line at noon today, but has not yet received an official document.
