The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, stated today that he absolutely agrees with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, that Serbia should not only recognize Kosovo, but also demand an apology from the country, KosovaPress reported.

In a televised interview from New York, Rama spoke about his relationship with the Kosovo prime minister, adding that "Kurti and I don't agree on when that should happen."

"I think that admitting and apologizing is the end of a process.

The process does not start with recognition and asking for forgiveness," Rama added.

Albanian Prime Minister: EU must stop pressure on Serbia for sanctions against Russia

The Albanian Prime Minister said that his relations with Albin Kurti are fantastic.

"We really have a very sweet relationship, very friendly.

Sweet communication means that we talk a lot about different topics, express opinions about our different political philosophies.

Communication is really sweet, brotherly, friendly.

As it should be, very civilized and friendly attitude.

We don't have to agree on everything.

We don't agree on the approach to Serbia, on how we should go about recognition and apology, we don't agree on Open Balkans, but that doesn't stop us from agreeing with each other on a lot of other things things,” Rama said.

He announced that he had received the right to address the Council of Europe on October 12.

"The issue is very delicate.

The Council of Europe wrote a very dark page approving the Dick Marty report /on the organ trade in Kosovo and Albania during the war in the 1990s - note ed./.

Today, this report has completely failed.

I will address the Council also based on the fact that the Albanian Parliament has unanimously adopted a resolution rejecting the Dick Marti report.

The Council of Europe should distance itself from the criminal report that has caused a lot of damage to Kosovo.

This is our initiative," Rama added.

After long and fierce debates, the Albanian parliament adopted at the end of July this year a resolution against Dick Marty's report on the smuggling of human organs during the war in Kosovo, the MIA agency reported.

The resolution called on the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to draw up a new report and re-examine the allegations of illegal trafficking in human organs in Albania and/or Kosovo in the light of the events that took place during this decade, based on the facts, evidence and updated information. as well as regarding the commitment, readiness and full cooperation of Albania and Kosovo in the service of truth.
