At least 17 have been killed after six consecutive nights of protests in Iran.

Among the dead are also policemen, the world agencies report.

The reason for the unrest was the death of a 22-year-old woman who was detained for improperly wearing a hijab in Tehran.

The incident sparked the largest mass protests in the Islamic Republic since 2019.
