The day before, on September 21, the Ukrainian army tried to break through the defenses of the aggressor

around the village of Yampil, which is located southeast of Liman, as well as in Liman itself.

This was reported in a recent report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

ISW indicates that active fighting continues in Drobyshevo, northwest of Liman. 

American analysts also reported that the Armed Forces repelled an attempt by the invaders to attack near Kupyansk in the east of the Kharkiv region along the Oskol River.

"This report indicates that Russian troops are probably making limited attempts to threaten only the recaptured Ukrainian positions along the right bank of the Oskol River," the Institute for the Study of War emphasized.

The Armed Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers near three settlements.
