The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania ordered to bring its troops to the regime of heightened combat readiness in connection with the announced partial

mobilization

on the territory of Russia.

This was written by the Minister of Defense of the European state, Arvydas Anushauskas, on his Twitter.

The Lithuanian official noted that the decision to bring the rapid response forces to a state of heightened combat readiness was made on the basis that the mobilization will be carried out, in particular, on the territory of the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation bordering Lithuania.

"Lithuania's rapid response forces have been put on high alert to prevent any provocations from Russia," Anusauskas wrote.

At the same time, Anushauskas expressed the opinion that the Kremlin's decision to mobilize was late, since the Russian Federation is experiencing a shortage of officers, a low level of military training and weak weapons.

"This risky decision can lead to political chaos," said the head of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry.

We will remind, on September 21, during the morning address to the people, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin,

 announced a partial mobilization

throughout the country.

According to the statement of the Russian dictator, reserve military personnel with military specialties and combat experience will be mobilized.

Putin also threatened the West with the use of nuclear weapons.

Earlier, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin's announcement of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation and plans to illegally annex part of Ukraine are a de facto admission that his so-called

"special military operation" in Ukraine is failing.
