A large exchange of prisoners took place on the territory of several countries: Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and on the border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, during a briefing on the return of defenders of Ukraine from Russian captivity.

The briefing was broadcast by the Office of the President.

During the event, Budanov said that, in general, the exchange of prisoners of war continued on the territory of several countries.

"This is the territory of Ukraine, the border between Ukraine and Russia is meant, this is a stage on the territory of the Republic of Poland, these are operations on the territory of the Republic of Turkey and an operation on the territory of Saudi Arabia," Budanov said.

According to officials, prisoner exchanges will continue.

"We will return absolutely all our citizens," the briefing stated.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak reported that Viktor Medvedchuk was handed over to the Russian Federation in exchange for 200 Ukrainian heroes.

In particular, among the dismissed are the commanders of the defenders of "Azovstal" Denys Prokopenko "Redis", Serhiy Volynskyi "Volyn", Svyatoslav Palamar "Kalyna", Denys Shlega, Oleg Khomenko.

Defenders Maryana Mamonova, Yana Shumovetska, and Anastasia Chernenka, who were captured while staying at Hope, were also released.

A list of all 215 released prisoners was made public.
