The leaders of the European Political Union will meet on October 6-7 in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

APA reports with reference to Anadolu agency that 17 countries were invited to the meeting along with 27 members of the European Union.

The letters of invitation were signed by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, President-in-Office of the EU.

Azerbaijan, Turkey, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine and England were invited.

The EU administration aims to create a platform for the political coordination of countries on the European continent with the European Political Union proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron.

The idea aims to address common interests by strengthening political dialogue and cooperation, thereby increasing security, stability and prosperity in Europe.

No official announcements or official decisions are expected at the end of the first meeting in Prague on October 6.
