The metro, trams, electric railway, trolleybuses and buses will not run today in Athens as the employees will take part in a 24-hour strike called by the Athens Trade Union Center, ANA-MPA reported.

Public transport employees will organize a protest rally in front of the Ministry of Finance at 12.00, BTA informs.

The strikers said the Finance Ministry's new bill on public service companies, which will be voted on in parliament today, effectively scraps full-time work and permanent contracts.
